Last night I was hanging out with friends and took them a bag of organic fabric scraps from the studio. The original idea was to make ghost decorations from the scraps. And some very cute ghosts were made, but the real excitement came from making a mummy costume from the Gaia fabric scraps. It started off with Marley playing with the scraps and tying some around her leg. We then realized that this would make for a pretty great mummy look. With Halloween just around the corner we decided to take it all the way and totally decked Marley out. This costume was fun to put together and super easy! We just wrapped the scraps around her arms, legs, head and torso and tied them lightly to keep them in place. Marley had a blast and looked awesome! (And we made her sock monkey into a mummy too!) Plus it was totally FREE since we give our fabric scraps away! If you're looking for a last minute Halloween idea and live in the Greensboro area, we have organic fabric scraps available!
